Hypnosis at Sukha Gurú is a wellness, introspection and personal support experience that uses relaxation, focused attention and guided imagination to facilitate a state of greater inner receptivity. In this state, the person may observe thoughts, emotions, memories, inner symbols, beliefs and personal resources with greater clarity. From a symbolic perspective, Carl Jung spoke of the world of “supra-consciousness,” a deep space where possible inner answers and keys to understanding one’s own story may be found. A story that can be reinterpreted, because memory, emotion, imagination, past, present and future possibilities converge in the unconscious. Milton Erickson, in turn, observed that resources, learnings and abilities may also be found in the unconscious, allowing the person to recognize and integrate them. Unlike what is often believed, hypnosis does not mean losing control, falling asleep or surrendering one’s will to another person. During the session, the client remains conscious, listens to the guidance and keeps their ability to decide at all times. It is a collaborative process in which the person participates from their own willingness, safety and inner rhythm. The session begins with a brief conversation to understand the reason for the visit, the personal moment the client is experiencing and the purpose of exploration. Then, a process of relaxation and inner focus is guided, allowing images, sensations, memories, associations or meaningful understandings to arise. From this perspective, hypnosis may support the exploration of beliefs, personal blocks, contained emotions, repetitive patterns, important decisions, life transitions, relationships, habits, grief, symbolic fears or aspects of personal history that the person wishes to understand more deeply. The purpose is not to impose answers or automatically program the mind, but to open a safe space for inner listening, clarity and self-awareness.
